 We are specifically called to walk in the spirit of God. The Holy Spirit, he is perfectly able to guide us to good works if we depend on him.

Lets talk about dependence, depending on the Holy Spirit requires us to give up the notion that we actually can create Holy thoughts without Christ guiding us. We have to give up the notion that quoting bible scripture to people will be good enough. This is leaning on our own "holy" understanding. Depending on the Lord is asking him for help in our everyday conversations. Its asking him what he wants us to do today. 

Sometimes what seems like the right thing to do can lead us to walking into darkness for that day. If we depend on our own understanding of what we THINK the Lord wants us to do, without consulting him, we can have good intentions and motives but still lack the backing and power of the Lord. As he wanted us to say or do something a bit different.

When we are walking in obedience to the Lord we are on a path where everyone around us is a divine appointed moment for us to speak truth and Love into their lives. If we are shining our light simply walking by people can be a motivation for them to be happier or know that there is hope in this dim world. 

Ask the Lord if you should strike up a conversation with the person standing next to you as you get a refreshment from the gas station. Ask the Lord if you should have a Godly conversation with the person standing next to you in the Grocery store line. If the Lord planned out our path from the beginning of time we are most likely missing hundreds of opportunities to spread the good news to those we pass by on a daily basis.

Every moment of every day is an opportunity to shine your light to the world! Ask for the Lord to guide you and give you the wisdom on how best to shine your light. Keep asking over and over again, ask and you shall receive. 

He will use us more and unlock more gifts within us if we keep asking and using these gifts to build up those that are around us.

  One of the best and easiest ways to be obedient and be filled with the Holy Spirit is to simply walk according to the spirit. You may ask yourself well how do I do that? In proverbs 3:5-6 it states not to lean on your own understanding but in ALL your ways acknowledge the Lord and he will make straight your paths.  This first requires us to know who the Lord is and what his commandments are to be fully obedient.  The Cure for Anxiety and Depression. I have overcome anxiety and depression with the help of biblical truths and an investigative practice of 'taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.  2nd Corinthians 10:5 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, The main idea is that we have thousands of thoughts that come through our mind every day. We need to practice analyzing those thoughts and seeing if they are coming from God or not. This is similar to cognitive behavioral therapy with taking thoughts captive.  For example. If you have a depressive thought that you are not a good person and you have done bad things in the past. Then you should take that thought captive and analyze it. Working out with Jesus

Building a strong prayer life with the Lord can be compared to starting a workout routine. At first, examining yourself and confronting the faults the Lord reveals can be difficult and uncomfortable—similar to the initial soreness when you start exercising. But with consistent effort, such as establishing a routine of praying in the morning and at night, you begin to see results. After a couple of weeks, you’ll notice an increase in peace and joy in your life, much like the small victories you experience when you start seeing progress from working out. However, our spiritual training has a purpose: we are running a marathon with the goal of growing closer to the Lord. To reach this goal, we must continue building spiritual stamina. This means praying more often, reading about God, and spending more time with Him.
